The T-Mobile plan increases the cost per line of some older plans by $5 per month, while the next billing cycle will take effect.
According to Freier's notes, FBT and Travelist observed that the memorandum was announced in the memorandum by Jon Freier, president of the mobile operator's consumer group.
In the memorandum, Freier used “costs rose over the past few years” as a reason for the increase.
Other mobile operators are not immune to rising costs. Verizon Wireless raised interest rates again in December and January this year, while AT&T raised interest rates last January and June. Meanwhile, T-Mobile increased the pace of other older plans last June.
Although Freier's memo does state that the number of customers who will increase interest rates is in millions, the next step will not affect current interest rate plans, including GO5G, GO5G Plus and GO5G, nor will it apply to the company's price lock-in guarantee or promotional free routes. His memo also clearly states: “No prior improvements will be given additional adjustments as part of this plan.”
The price increase will also affect former sprint customers, as the company agreed with some states after the end of April 1 this year.
