Formula Rossa

Formula Rossa as title attraction opens Ferrari World in Abu Dhabias the fastest roller coaster in the world, in 2010.

With the advent of the hydraulic launch system, from the start of the stand to 149.1 miles per hour, the ride brought a stunning fist, which secured the rider back into the seat as the roller coaster train drove into the desert.

Shortly after reaching the end of the launch track and reaching its maximum speed, the train climbed a huge call time mountain. The upward climb has a series of brake fins to slow down the train slightly – perhaps a bit disappointing, but may be designed to help reduce wear while maintaining speed records. However, there is still enough speed and it doesn't have much impact on the rider's perception.

The rest of the ride consists of three huge speed turns and call time in desert landscapes outside of the main buildings of the Ferrari World, resulting in the ending featuring three hills (maybe you could call them super large rabbit hops, given the overall size of Formula Rossa). While nothing can live up to the extraordinary power of the initial launch, it all adds up to be a very cool riding experience.

In many ways, the formula Rossa is like a larger version of any T-Ting Accelerator roller coaster, although there are some interesting differences due to the unique UAE environment: Whenever a train returns to the station, its wheels are sprayed with water to cool them, reducing the driver’s heat, which reduces the driver’s speed and the intensely hot Abu Dhabi climate. Second, riders must wear goggles to protect their eyes from sand and dust, which are often whipped from desert floors into the air.

Record breaking roller coasters doesn't always do well (see Smile For example), but Formula Rossa did it right and created a great riding experience. There aren't many roller coasters that can slap the riders' cheeks, but Rosa's incredible speed makes their entire face vibrate in the wind. It is a triumph of engineering and cycling design, and an essential attraction in the world of Ferrari – even if it is surpassed by the more brilliant flying ace.
