Disney’s live-action “Moana” merchandise is now available

Disney's live-action version Moana It hits theaters on July 10, and peripheral merchandise is also hitting store shelves. Whether you're hyped for the new remake or just want to stay true to the original animated film, new accessories and toys from Disney itself as well as other brands like Pandora, Lego, and more are worth checking out. Let’s explore these products!

Moana Disneyland merchandise

There are plenty of favorite wayfinding items for everyone at Disneyland. For those who prefer ear headbands, there are traditional styles, like the one shown on the right in the first photo, as well as some DIY headwear, like the Kakamora on the left, that you can style your own. New costumes have also been added to the lineup.

Pua Blissful Buddies plush toys are filled with memory foam-like material. Also shown in the picture is a Pua-themed Disneyland crew neck sweatshirt.

We also spotted a Moana Urupocha-Chan plush toy at Disney World. But you'll soon be able to purchase them online from DisneyStore.com (read on to learn more about these little candies).

this Moana The x ALOHA Collection collaboration launched in mid-June and has caused quite a stir with its bags and accessories. The collection includes a variety of styles of tote and crossbody bags, as well as other travel accessories, with prints inspired by Moana’s island lifestyle or tropical flowers.

Disney’s Moana x ALOHA collection makes a splash

Now, here are some shoes fit for a princess—oops, I mean a chief’s daughter. HEYDUDE launches the Wendy Espadrille, a lightweight women's shoe that pays homage to Moana's story and personality. The textile upper features a Polynesian-inspired print, features nautical rope laces, and is accented with a collectible beaded shell charm. The cork footbed also features a Moana wave pattern. However, my favorite part is the colorful floral appliqué on the heel.

Pandora

Pandora's Moana This collection has enough sparkly, sparkly goodness to make even Tamatoa swoon. It includes rings and two styles of charms: standard and pendant. Whether you prefer a colorful look or a minimalist one, there's something in this collection to suit your style.

How could a Disney movie be without toys? Here are some related Moana.

The Urupocha-Chan collection is one of many products originally from the Disney Store in Japan international plush toys is developing in the United States. The collection is known for its simplified, palm-sized designs, which you can see in the Urupocha-Chan Moana Plush toys. The range includes Moana, Maui, Pua, HeiHei, Te Fiti, Tamatoa, Te Fiti and Kakamora. They will be available to purchase on DisneyStore.com starting July 10th.

Lego

LEGO has two new products Moana Set off. The first is Pua ($69.99), Moana's adorable pet pig. This 885-piece set is suitable for builders ages 9 and up. When complete, the set will create a Pua figure, a small hermit crab companion, a raft and some tropical leaves. Pua can place branches or flowers on his head, as well as turn and tilt his head and move his ears.

The second is Kakamora ($39.99), which actually contains materials for both characters in the set. It contains 407 pieces and is suitable for builders ages 9 and up. Both have movable arms, and each can hold a buildable accessory: a spear and a flower. The headgear is also interchangeable.

Mattel

Mattel's line of dolls includes multiple versions of Moana as well as a Maui doll inspired by the live-action adaptation.

Disney and Mattel clearly leaned toward a more grounded Polynesian feel in the film. The standard Moana fashion doll swaps out her animated appearance for an outfit inspired by the rustic attire from the new movie, complete with island-themed accessories including an anklet, floral barrette and her signature necklace.

Maui also gets live action, including a removable skirt, shark tooth necklace, bracelets and of course, an oversized magical fishhook. Luckily, they resisted the urge to make him look too much like a plastic version of Dwayne Johnson… although the similarities are definitely there.

There's also a singing Moana doll that plays a 30-second clip of “How Far I'll Go” at the push of a button, because no Moana toy line is complete without at least one battery-powered emotional anthem.

Perhaps the most eye-catching of the bunch is the Moana Collector Doll, which was inspired by her ceremonial role as Taupo. It's a more detailed display that includes a striking feather headdress, woven fabrics, fringe, grass fringe and even Motunui's “dusty” feet.
