Disney first takes over Comic-Con's H-H rule over “Preat: Badlands” and “Tron: Ares”

Walt Disney Studios in San Diego Comic Exhibition On Friday, taking over Hall H to showcase its two most anticipated films: “Predator: Badlands” from the 20th Century Studio and “Tron: Ares” from Disney. Hosted by film producer Kevin Smith, the back-to-back panel provides exclusive videos for over 6,500 fans, surprise looks and main revelations of the two franchises.

Predator: The Wasteland

The event begins “Preater: Badlands”,” Passionate directors Dan Trachtenberg and Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Kolomatangi play the stage. The group immediately immersed in all the audience wearing predator masks, a 7-foot-tall Predator figure that used its thermal vision to scan the room. Trachtenberg is pleased by showing the first 15 minutes of the film and revealing alternative endings for franchise legends Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Glover.

“In the 'Prested' movie, the Predator will never win,” said Trachtenberg, explaining his vision to re-form the creature into an anti-hero. “I’m really interested in pairing the predator with someone who is totally unexpected and pairing these two unique characters in an incredible emotional and inner journey.”

Tron: Ares

After the Predator's speech, Hall H's energy transfers to the digital world “Tron: Ares.” Smith welcomed the star-studded lineup on the stage, including Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Gillian Anderson and the original Tron himself, Jeff Bridges, and director Joachim Rønning.

From the movie’s soundtrack, attendees were introduced to a preview of an exciting light chase scene and first watched the music video of the new Nine Inch Nails song “Alive You Reelage Me.” Rønning highlighted his commitment to creating a “full-blood movie experience,” saying his goal is to explore “its meaning and meaning” through the film’s AI protagonist.

“Tron: Ares” Following a highly complex program, Jared Leto, a dangerous mission sent from the digital world to the real world, marking the first encounter between humans and AI Beings. The movie was released in the American Theatre October 10, 2025.

“Preater: Badlands” Set on a remote planet in the future, a young predator (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi) flows down from his clan and discovers an ally among a man named Thia (Elle Fanning). The movie opens exclusively in the theater November 7, 2025.
