The future of luxury travel and why you want to enter

The future of luxury travel and why you want to enter

I just returned from a week of change in Virtuoso Travel Week, a global gathering of the world’s most respected luxury travel consultants, hoteliers, travel agencies, travel agencies and destination experts. After six days and over 160 meetings, three travel trends became very clear:

1. Multi-generation travel

Grandparents increasingly choose to travel on trinkets. Why buy another Xbox or the latest iPhone when you can give your kids and grandchildren a shared memory they have talked about for decades? These are “three generations” trips where everyone (from toddlers to teenagers to retirees) can experience something meaningful together. Imagine this: a villa in Tuscany with a private chef, a South African lead safari or a small cruise, your entire family gathers on the top deck at sunset. While logistics can be intricate – considering all ages, interests and liquidity levels, this is my major. The real reward is to witness your family connect deeply without distraction on the screen, thus creating memorable memories together.

2. Travel solo, especially for women

I've noticed that more and more women are booking trips for themselves, whether it's a real solo or as part of a group of like-minded travelers, but including their own space and privacy. These travelers seek freedom to set their pace without stressing safety issues or planning every detail. Escort tours, group tours and luxury cruises are ideal: they offer a built-in social circle while also having the option to retreat to your own room at the end of the day. Whether it’s a cooking class in Provence, an adventure to Antarctica or exploring Japan during the cherry blossom season, the common theme is independence without quarantine. Many of my supplier partners are currently offering promotions with low or sometimes no solo supplements!

3. Private jet itinerary

A private jet journey has nothing to do with the “flash” but about efficiency, comfort and access. These carefully curated multi-stop experiences eliminate the hassle of twisting multiple commercial flights and a frightening long stopover. Instead, you often work with a small group of travelers point-to-point with top-notch comfort. Your luggage? deal with. Immigration documents and visas? Managed for you. From the moment you leave your home, the experience is seamless. One trip I discussed with my partners covered Galápagos, Machu Picchu, Easter Island and Bora Bora and covered one trip on one itinerary without a day wasted in the transit lounge. The flights travel from east to west, along the sun and operate exclusively during the day. You sleep comfortably in a luxurious five-star hotel every night while checking multiple bucket lists on one trip at a time.

On the itinerary including Colombia, Easter Island, Polynesia, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Iceland, you will probably take 112 hours of flights and one that benefits 84 hours. These flights alone will cost more than $30,000/pp. The direct private jet journey takes 57 hours of flights, no stopover (with flat first class seats), saving you nearly 6 days off, you are actually doing things instead of wasting time unnecessary hassle. Your holiday also includes exclusive visits, such as watching the Taj Majal, a journey with no one else around (before sunrise opens) embodies luxury and comfort to ensure you arrive at a refresh and ready to explore.

If there is a final gain here, it is that travelers no longer postpone their dream experiences. Sometimes we are all reminded that we have no commitment tomorrow. A trip “one day”? It is moving to “This Year” or “Next Year”. Whether you want to assemble a family, end up on a solo adventure, or stop over multiple bucket lists on a professionally designed journey, the best time to start planning is before the calendar fills up. My job is to make it seamless, stress-free and perfect for you.
