SEABOURN sells residents to Japanese cruise Mitsui: Travel weekly

Seabourn will sell the second ship to the Japanese cruise ship Mitsui Ocean cruise.

Seabourn Sojourn to be sold to Mitsuia subsidiary of Mitsui OSK line. Mitsui already operates 458 passengers, Mitsui Ocean Fuji. Former Seabourn Odysseythe service served Mitsui in December.

Passengers booked on the moving voyage in May 2026 will continue to sail under the Seabourn brand: Seabourn said it will charter the boat from Mitsui and operate its published voyage on the World Tour ending on May 15, 2026.

After the lease period, the sojourn will be delivered to Mitsui, and Seabourne said the ship will be deployed by its new owner in a market that is not competitive with Seabourn. Guests and travel consultants affected after the handover date will receive a message from Seabourn with details about the change or rebooking options.
