The world has changed – the earth must also

The world has changed – the earth must also

Over the past two decades, we have been around the world and embrace this belief “Travel is fatal to prejudice, paranoia and narrow-mindedness,” As Mark Twain is so eloquent. We share our adventures, photos, and our experiences in different cultures, and they believe that by showing the beauty of the world we can help people see beyond boundaries and differences.

But times have changed. The world we travel now is no longer just sharing beautiful pictures, but is more complex, divided and fragile than ever.

Traveling is accustomed to uniting us. Now, it feels different.

When we first started our trip, everything was new. Social media is still in its infancy and people are introduced to destinations they have never seen before. Travel feels like a connected tool, a way to experience different cultures, break barriers and open minds.

But now, we see a world Not only divided, but also cynical. Travel has been commodified and reduced to an Instagram background, rather than an opportunity to learn. Rather than arousing curiosity and compassion, it is better to encourage comparison, competition and indifference. Instead of uniting us, travel content sometimes strengthens the gap between those who can be freely explored and those who struggle to survive.

As the world rolls past another perfect sunset, Too many people just fight for life.

Reality we no longer ignore

The conflict was intense in the places we visited.

  • Sudan It is in a devastating civil war, replacing millions.
  • Ukraine Still under attack, civilians suffer every day.
  • The people of Myanmar Stay under the control of the cruel military government.
  • In Gaza, The whole family was wiped out and innocent lives continued to be lost
  • In Yemen,,,,, Haiti, Afghanistan, Ethiopia And many others are still in turmoil.

These are just conflicts that make headlines.

The world is burning – literally

Nor can we ignore another crisis that unfolds before our eyes: Climate change.

Where we visited – the glaciers of Patagonia, the beaches of the Maldives, the rainforests of the Amazon – are changing, not better.

  • Wildfires have Destroy Greece, Canada, Australia and Californiadisplacement and devastating landscape.
  • The flood swallowed up the entire village In Pakistan, Libya and Germany, the destruction caused damage.
  • Coral reefs we once marveled while diving Bleach and dying At an amazing speed.
  • The Arctic ice we once stood is disappearingIsland countries such as Tuvalu and Maldives are actually sinking.

We have witnessed these changes firsthand. We have spoken to locals who have lost their homes. We have browsed the landscape that no longer exists. We've realized it- cannot Just share beautiful pictures while pretending everything is OK.

We can't remain silent anymore

We can't continue I wandered around and thought everything was a dream. We can’t sit in the spa, pretending that everything is fine, waiting for someone to say something or climb the mountain to seek our own personal gain.

We have to say it.

We need to talk about politics, poverty and human rights violations where we visit. We need to talk about How tourism affects local communities And whether it helps them or hurts them. We need to talk about Climate changeAbout the industry that destroys our planet, and what we can do as travelers to really change.

us think Stand up against Fascism, authoritarianism and oppression– And help others stand up.

We don't blame anyone for keeping silent, but we can never again

We don't blame anyone who chooses not to speak. This is our choice.

For those with work, family, and even our travel bloggers and partnership vloggers, Saying it out loud means losing everything– Contracts, opportunities, and even their entire livelihood. We understand why many people stay quiet.

But we are in our position able adventure. When the risk is Oppose cruelty, corruption and fascism– We think it's worth it.

In the past 20 years, Planet d Already represented Discover– Adventures to explore the world. But moving forward, we want it to represent something bigger:

1. Decent – Because human rights should never be part of the debate.
2. democracy – Because freedom cannot be guaranteed; it must be defended.
3. determination – Because there is no change without action.

The next step for Earth D

We are not saying goodbye to travel. We will still explore, share guides and itineraries and will still help you discover the world. But we will Tell the whole story.

We will still show incredible places, but we will also Revealing what's happening behind beautiful pictures. We will discuss fighting for justice, communities on the frontlines of climate change and travelers and locals really different.

Because, like we once told you about Hammam massage experience-There are always more stories. Now it's time to start telling it.

A new journey together

We know this shift may feel unexpected, but it is the right one. Travel has always been about discovery – sometimes, it means facing uncomfortable truths.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. It's not always easy, but it's worth it.
