I am a long time fan of American river cruises and have booked many amazing adventures. I just went on my first solo cruise. Cindy informed me of a great deal on a cruise from Halifax to the Panama Canal that she knew I would love.
I had a beautiful balcony room on the German expedition ship Hanseatic Inspiration, which was huge. I was the only American on the boat and everyone made me feel welcome. The crew and passengers all spoke English, so I didn't need much high school German.
The decor of the boat is quiet and elegant. The staff are professional and friendly. The food is delicious, absolutely delicious. Recreation is similar to river boating. Pianist and a wonderful singing and guitar playing couple. Current events as well as the history and culture of the areas we visited were also discussed with excellent speakers.
I sailed from Halifax to New York, spent two days there, then reached Nassau and crossed what was then the Panama Canal. Several excursions are offered, but on this trip I did my own thing…wine lunch, Broadway show, and taking in the scenery. There were a few days at sea which made this a relaxing trip.
The crew held a pumpkin decorating contest, went on a ship tour, and the crew choir sang farewell songs for the captains. We also parked in the middle of the ocean and were able to swim from the platform behind the boat. Thank you Cindy for helping me with my latest adventure. I can always trust you to know what I will like. You and other agents care about your customers and your service is the best it can be.
