Exciting news comes from Madison Mountaineering aconcagua Expedition Team: Yesterday, the team climbed to the highest point in America! After getting up, the team members came out of the tent, wolfed down some food, picked up their bags, and set off for the summit. Step by step along the route, the team moved forward strongly and quickly, the top of the mountain becoming clearer and clearer with each step. After reaching the summit around 2pm local time, the team high-fived, took some photos and admired their incredible achievement. Now on its way back to base camp, the team is looking forward to mendoza and then return to their home country. Yesterday afternoon we reached the summit (6961m/22,837ft) around 2:00pm and spent the night again at Camp 3 (5989m/19,650ft). The whole team is in good shape!
