When Star Seeker debuts in December, it will reflect Windstar's ongoing commitment to travel wellness.
Lieven Van Daele, director of guest experience at Windstar, said that overall, “wellness and relaxation are both important pillars of Windstar, and our philosophy is to achieve these goals in many forms.”
The first, of course, is the emphasis on creating a tranquil spa, he told us, noting that there will be two private massage rooms, a full-service salon offering hair and beauty treatments, a soothing relaxation area and a dry sauna.
In preparation for the new Star Seeker, Windstar has launched a new spa menu focusing on the regions of the world where its ships sail (which are already part of existing fleet spas). These include Middle Eastern Lime and Salt Scrub, Japanese Shiatsuas well as massages using materials such as Tahitian stone and South Pacific bamboo. Also provides information such as “Seaweed Detox Massage” and “sKin Renewal Facial. “
Van Daele noted that Star Seeker’s new spa “offers its own tranquil atmosphere but is consistent with the spas on all our other ships.”

Van Daele noted that in addition to Star Seeker’s dedicated health and wellness facilities, other areas on the ship are designed for relaxation, such as the pool deck with Jacuzzi just steps away from the Windstar World Spa, and Windstar’s signature whirlpool on the bow, both of which are popular on other Star ships.
He also revealed that Star Seeker will have unique dedicated lounge spaces aft on decks 5 and 6, facing the ultra-relaxing wake that the ship brings as it rolls at sea. “It's supposed to be a quiet space, no music, no bars. It's a nice place to get away from it all.”
