Silversea Cruises has postponed the opening of its hotel on the southern tip of South America until October 2026.
Cormorant at 55 South is a hotel located in Puerto Williams, Chile, built for Antarctica cruise guests purchasing a fly-cruise package. It was originally scheduled to open in January and remain open for much of the upcoming Antarctic season.
Silversea did not give a reason for the delay, other than to “ensure every detail meets Silversea's standards.” Silversea Cruises said it is putting the final touches on the project.
