Reviews and highlights of the L'Orologio Firenze Hotel in Florence

After a full day of sightseeing, a museum walk and a lot of food, Hotel L'Orologio Firenze It is a quiet urban oasis Florence. Although it is surrounded by bars and restaurants and is a few steps away from the arts and cultural venues, walking into the hotel feels like wearing a white noise machine. The city has disappeared and you can really relax in the hustle and bustle.

The image shows an elegant interior space with a curved white receiving table located under a large geometric crystal chandelier. The room features cream walls with dark wood trim, arched windows with dark frames and mixed slates in various floor tones. Family Friendly Review L'Orologio Firenze

It was a popular Tuscany day when I walked out of the Firenze Santa Nevella train station. After leaving Rome (People yell and run around, tourists dragging their clumsy suitcases – you can imagine the chaos) and the crowded trains in Florence, I was ready to sit in a quiet place to relax. Later, I walked through the scenic Piazza Santa Maria Nevella for 10 minutes and walked into the cool marble hall of L'Orologio Firenze and took a deep breath.

This image shows a large church or cathedral with a unique geometric facade in its geometric form, with alternating horizontal stripes of white and dark green marble, above which are triangular gables with ornamental circular patterns. The building displays Romanesque and Gothic architectural elements, including arched doorways, rose windows and ornate stone sculptures, with several visitors seen on the stone square in front. In the foreground, there is a manicured lawn with flower beds filled with pink and coral flowers leaning against the clear blue sky.

Place

One of the hotel's main attractions is its location. Located in the heart of Piazza Santa Maria Novella, the cathedral of the same name is just a few steps away, ideally within easy reach of the main attractions. Stroll to Duomo and Piazza Della Signoria for a few minutes and enjoy your local street life as you admire the classic Florence Panino. The Uffizi Gallery sits on the square, and other attractions such as Galleria Dell'Accademia and Piazzale Michelangelo (essential for Sunset Gelato) are also easy to walk.

The hotel is one of the trio of the L'Orologio properties in Florence, Rome and Venice, all with a clock theme to reflect the owner's love for exquisite watches (“Orologio” translates to “clock” in Italian). Next door is cute Hotel Santa Maria Novellaalso part of the same hotel group, is a wonderful property with a more exquisite rooftop bar that is perfect for a long tour and perfect for aperitifs. The area of Florence is famous for its rooftop terraces, offering great views from the skyline. If the roof isn't your scene, there are plenty of other places to relax in and around Piazza Santa Maria Novella, including several good ice cream attractions.

The terrace overlooks a historic cityscape with unique architecture, including a large Renaissance dome and ornate bell tower, ascends above the buildings in Terracotta-froof. I checked in a little early, but the staff were happy to accommodate and even upgraded me to a spacious double room with a king bed and marble bathroom. Each room is standard with a still and shimmering water refreshing daily, turntable service and a kettle for tea and coffee. My room also has two lovely street-style French windows that I can open at night, enjoy the fresh breeze and close when I want peace and tranquility. The entire room is filled with the charm of a Tuscan villa and is full of modern amenities.

The picture shows a high-end restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of the historic buildings, including the famous church or cathedral. The space features exposed wooden ceilings, modern layered chandeliers, and a buffet breakfast setting with pastries and drinks, and is decorated with geometric patterns on the wooden countertop. Dark wood furniture, white tables and polished floors perfect the elegant interior that blends traditional and modern design elements.

Have a meal

Breakfast is served in the upper solarium filled with natural light. The buffet-style meal includes a lot of options, from local cheeses, meats and pastries to yogurt, cereals and plenty of fresh fruit. Coffee (American style and espresso drinks) and mimosa are both stocked up to help you explore the day.

Next to the lobby is a street-level bar that serves drinks, snacks and small meals in indoor and outdoor seating. After a long day, I love to enjoy crisp refreshments here – it's a great place to watch people.

The image shows an elegant interior space featuring a famous illuminated Rolex clock mounted on the wall above the seat with dark upholstered furniture and orange accent pillows. convenient

This hotel is perfect for family friendly and loves to host families with children. They offer stuffed animals and imagine folded towels, make-up young towels as well as organic baby care products, coloring books and colored pencils. Additionally, the bar offers fun, non-alcoholic cocktails for the kids.

For adults, the included toiletries smell lovely and feel luxurious on the skin. In the classic L'Orologio style, I found a plate of fresh fruit and handwritten welcome notes in my suite on arrival.

Downstairs, guests have access to a small gym (if you don't have enough exercise) and a sauna. All you have to do is ask the front desk to heat your sauna, and if you want to be free from the night before, you will be a few minutes ahead.

This bird's-eye view shows a historic Italian city with traditional terracotta rooftop buildings spread throughout the city, dominated by a famous cathedral that includes a large Renaissance dome and tall bell tower. The cityscape extends to rolling hills visible in the distance under the transparent blue sky, warm lighting suggesting sunrise or sunset. The building displays a mixture of residential buildings, historic buildings and famous landmarks from the medieval Italian city centre.

Local sightseeing and tours

In addition to the large attractions already mentioned, you can also take a short walk to the lesser Oltrano community on the Arno River. Small fireplace-style trattorias rice in a small wall filled with locals, or ride along the river at sunset.

The rural areas of Tuscany are getting less and less missed, and if you have the time, it is worth at least a day trip to Florence. The town is easy to enter by train or car (I especially like Lucca, which is a quick trip to a day trip). Family should know

True kindness and very useful hotel staff will help you get the spot and share bar and restaurant advice. They went beyond to ensure my comfort during my stay. The concierge department was happy to answer my questions and gave me a map to help browse the city.

Overall, Florence feels safe, with a large number of tourists walking around all the time. The neighborhood may be busy at night, but I found that even in my street house, the curtains of multiple stairs blocked all the noise and light. I easily hand in before 10pm and fall asleep quickly.
