MSC World Asia reveals 6 must-do experiences before opening

MSC Cruises announces its new flagship, MSc World Asiawill be officially named in Le Havre, France, on November 28, 2026, six months before the ship’s maiden voyage.

The newest ship in the world-class fleet, MSc World Asia Combining Asian-inspired design with new dining, entertainment and leisure experiences. The ship has more than 40 bars and restaurants, a variety of entertainment venues and the longest dry slide on the sea. The naming ceremony in Le Havre will bring together travel industry representatives, media, partners and invited guests to celebrate the arrival of MSC Cruises’ newest flagship.

I am also proud to announce that Captain Paolo Bernini will take the helm of MSC Cruises World Asia in recognition of his leadership at MSC Euribia Joining MSC Cruises in 2024 and with a distinguished sailing career for his outstanding leadership, including a recent deployment in Dubai, he is widely respected for his calm, people-centred command and is the ideal person to lead this extraordinary new flagship.”

After the naming ceremony in Le Havre, MSc World Asia It will start its first Mediterranean season on December 4, 2026 from Barcelona. The ship will operate a seven-night itinerary, calling at Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia (Rome), Naples and Valletta, with embarkation available at each port.

With six months to go, MSC Cruises highlights six attractions on board MSc World Asia, These include the Cliffhanger water swing, The Spiral @ Tree of Life dry slide, Twin Racer and U Drop water slides, Adventure Trail high ropes course, MSC Formula Racer simulator and MSC Luna Park Arena entertainment venue.

MSc World Asia There will also be more than 40 bars, lounges and restaurants, seven swimming pools, 13 hot tubs, family entertainment venues, Asian-inspired artwork and the largest number of MSC Yacht Club suite categories in the fleet.
