Marriott Hotels is adding a luxurious safari camp to its collection: Travel Weekly

Marriott International signed an agreement to launch its first Signature set Safari Camp, expands luxury brands into empirical, natural-based accommodation. Mapito Safari Camp, Serengeti, Signature Collection It is planned to open along Tanzania's great immigration route in the third quarter.

The property will feature 16 tent suites including a two-bedroom villa. Each suite will be equipped with an outdoor deck, fire pit and retractable roof that allows for open-air stargazing.

Location between camps Serengeti The Western Immigration Corridor places it directly on the annual large immigration path from May to July. The surrounding area offers year-round wildlife viewing opportunities for the Big Five and other iconic African species.

Planned amenities include a spa, fitness center, swimming pool and multiple dining options. The main restaurant, Boma, will draw inspiration from traditional African bonfire parties. The camp will be designed to incorporate elements of local ikoma culture while implementing sustainable practices to support conservation efforts.

Activities range from daytime game drives and night safaris to walking tours, hot air balloon flights, jungle dining experiences, and cultural interactions with the Ikoma Tribe.
