LIH, which has been operating for 10 years, has also launched the Pendle program, which aims to reduce food waste on board by using algorithms to analyze various data points such as flight time and consumption patterns.

“Our commitment remains unwavering – to push the boundaries of what’s possible, to build strong partnerships with visionary startups and to deliver meaningful innovations that elevate the Lufthansa Group and the industry as a whole,” said Lagardère. “As we move forward, we will continue to embrace change and harness the power of technology to create a more connected, efficient and sustainable travel experience for all.”
