Here are some merger and acquisition news involving two companies that make theme park attractions.
As the name suggests, Orlando-based Falcon Beyond has acquired Oceaneering Entertainment Systems from Oceaneering International Inc. Along the way, the company is engaged in the business of adapting some of its technologies into entertainment business.
The department is known as Oceaneering Entertainment Systems. It creates dynamically driven cars for some of the most popular attractions in the theme park business, including the amazing adventures of Spider-Man, Transformers: Cycling and Justice League: Battle of the Metropolis.
Falcon's “Beyond” began 25 years ago as Falcon's Treehouse, designing and creating attractions for clients including Busch Gardens. Over the past quarter century, the business has grown to Beyond, Falcon, an immersive storytelling company that provides services and management in terms of content, technology and experience. Clients include Qiddiya Investments, the company now known as United Parks, and IMG Worlds of Adventure.

As part of the acquisition, Falcon's purchased a patent, engineering and manufacturing process portfolio of OES. It will support all traditional OES products and hire key members of the OES team. Falcon also assumes the lease of more than 106,000 square feet of research and testing facilities.
