I always have an Aga oven so I'm motivated to make oven-based recipes. The rule of AGA is to cook 20% on top and 80% in the oven.
Last week, I made a simple high-protein recipe: baked tofu cubes. I'm a A loyal fan of tofu But this is the easiest way to cook. Sainsbury is in stock smoked and Pickled Tofu Company Blocks at a reasonable price (£1.34). Usually, it's hard to find decent tofu unless you go to an Asian/Japanese store, where they take it from Super Soft/Silky to very firm. Tofu is ultimately a texture. In Japan, the tofu can be so smooth that it tastes like double cream and has a slightly beany flavor. They have breakfast.
If you only get soft tofu, you can press it down to make it firmer to remove the liquid to make it firmer.
