The Grinch season is officially here at Universal Studios Hollywood!
get ready Grinch! Universal Plaza at Universal Studios Hollywood is now the beautifully renovated Whoville How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Throughout the holiday season, guests can enjoy a variety of holiday fun including character meet and greets, special story time moments with Cindy Lou Who, a nightly Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and many other Christmas goodies!
Elaborate decorations around the square capture the Whoville spirit, including a festive Grinch-style snowman. In a true sign of the holiday takeover, the Grinch's infamous “Buzz Off” and “Scram” signs have been humorously painted out and replaced with cheerful greetings like “Welcome” and “Merry Christmas.”
Under the festive “Happy Who-bilation” banner, a remarkable gingerbread Who car is proudly displayed. The entertainment stage, with a screen detailing the schedule, is the centerpiece of all the holiday fun. Guests can enjoy Cindy Lou's story time, a performance by The Fah-Who 4 A's and a dazzling Christmas tree light show, all on stage (weather permitting).
A sign reading “Merry Christmas 2025” proudly stands in the center of the square, creating a festive atmosphere. The star of the stage area is the iconic, wonderfully curved Christmas tree, surrounded by a row of benches for guests to watch the festive performances.
A huge, curved Christmas tree was the whimsical centerpiece of the stage, surrounded by gift boxes of various sizes. Its curved branches are sprinkled with artificial snow, and rows of oversized, shiny baubles sparkle in a variety of colors (blue, gold, green, red, purple, silver, etc.). A stunning sight with a sparkling golden star in every corner decorated with festive jingle bells.
The Fah-Who 4 A's are a quartet of singers who sing a variety of holiday songs. You can arrive at 11:30am, 12:30pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm
Storytime and meet-and-greets with Cindy Lou at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 noon, 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
At night, the tree and surrounding decorations are illuminated. The lighting ceremony was accompanied by snowfall. Times are 5:30pm, 6:15pm, 7pm and 7:45pm
