In a few days, they will return to Camp 1 after completing their acclimatization rotation. Hello! This is Terre call Madison Mountaineering Lenin Peak (7134m/23,406ft) adventure. Today is July 8th.
This morning we hiked the route to Camp 1 (4400m/14,435 ft), then returned to Camp 1, our advanced base camp, and spent the rest of the day preparing for our acclimatization rotation on the mountain.
Tomorrow we plan to head to Camp 2 (5300m/17,388ft), where if all goes according to plan we will spend two nights. We then headed to Camp 3 (6100m/20,013 ft) to stay one night and summit Razdelnaya Peak (6148m/20,170 ft) before returning to Camp 1 (Advanced Base Camp) to rest for our summit push.
What a great day! Now, there's a little bit of snow tonight, but it'll be sunny most of the day. We are looking forward to setting out on the mountain tonight! We will keep in touch.
