After months of asking “What happened to the Canada Pavilion at EPCOT?”Disney has applied for a new license for the area.
The permit was submitted by Walt Disney Imagineering with Design Communications Ltd. as contractor (a company that has worked with Disney many times before).
The permit states that it is for the installation of signage, and while we don't think it will take that long, it is valid for a year from now. Signage may indicate that new products are coming to the area, but we'll have to wait and see!
If you've been to EPCOT recently, you'll know that construction walls have been around in the pavilion for a while. There have been no official announcements about the specific project yet – we’ll have to wait and see what this mysterious building is all about!
Aside from being an eyesore, these will not interfere with your visit to EPCOT. You can still shop at the Trading Post store, and LesselierThe pavilion's restaurant remains open.
Hopefully this mystery will be solved soon, but in the meantime, we'll continue our detective work. Stay tuned to AllEars for more updates from Disney World!
