“In the Footsteps of Walter” returns as a premium two-hour guided tour offering a new way to experience the park. An exciting update to the classic format, this reimagined journey through history now officially begins inside Disney California Adventure. This new beginning allows the trip to bridge the gap between Walt's early arrival in California as an ambitious young animator and his eventual realization of his theme park dream.

In this separate add-on experience, guests will be fully immersed in captivating stories, rare anecdotes and the enduring legacy of Walt Disney. The absolute highlight of the experience was the rare, exclusive entry into Walt Disney’s private apartments, located directly above the Firehouse on Main Street in Disneyland, U.S.A. The updated tour is officially scheduled to debut on August 14, 2026.
