What you need to get started
No experience requiredbut the following points can help you become a successful travel planner:
- Knowledge and passion for Disney and cruise ships, or travel: The more you know about Disney theme parks, resorts, cruises and other vacation experiences, the better you'll be. A true passion for Disney and its products will not only help you sell better, but also provide excellent customer service to your customers.
- basic computer skills: As a travel agent, you'll use online booking systems, manage itineraries, and communicate with customers via email or other digital platforms. Basic computer skills are required.
- communication skills: Most customers prefer email or text, so clear, engaging communication is key. We'll give you some guidance!

Register with Best day of vacation The process is a breeze and is done entirely online. You can choose between two training paths, both of which we'll explore in depth below.
Classic membership:
- Best for travel agents most interested in booking travel for friends, family, and people in the community.
- There is no minimum booking required. You can book as many or as few reservations as you want.
- Enter the Disney Knowledge Academy.
- We pay a high commission, 70% (50% for standard travel agencies).
- You will receive comprehensive, ongoing training on our products and best sales strategies.
Fast Track Membership:
- Best for travel agents looking to start their career.
- Fast Track agents receive a steady stream of leads from Best Day Vacations, with agents typically booking their first vacation within 2-3 weeks.
- You will have a one-to-one travel agent coach.
- You'll receive additional training and resources from Best Day Vacations, including how to market yourself, video tutorial training, a complete itinerary planning template for your clients, and more.
How do I get paid?
Short answer: Commission!
In the travel industry, the supplier (such as Disney, Royal Caribbean or Universal) pays a commission, which is split between the tour operator and the tour operator. At Best Day Ever Vacations, we hire new agents with commissions up to 70%!
This is what happens in reality. You book a vacation for a client and pay a commission of $500, of which you, the travel agent, receive 70%, or $350.

The average cost of a Disney vacation for 4 people is $7,367. The agency commission is 10%, and you get 70% of it.
