Charity flights return to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026

Organizations providing humanitarian aid and community support via air will return EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026. The public benefit flight area will once again be part of the 73rd Annual Experimental Aircraft Association flight. The event is scheduled for July 20-26 at Wittman Regional Airport. Aircraft and crews representing groups involved in disaster relief, medical transport, animal rescue and other humanitarian missions will be on display near Boeing Plaza in the center of the AirVenture venue.

Participating organizations will also participate in daily demonstrations focusing on how aviation can be used to respond to emergencies around the world. A dedicated pavilion will provide pilots with the opportunity to learn about the volunteer flying program and register with organizations seeking help. “By 2025, more than 1,500 pilots will be registered with Oshkosh to become part of charity flights, whether delivering relief supplies to disaster areas, transporting cancer patients to medical appointments, or even transporting rescue animals across the country” said Rick Larsen, EAA Vice President of Community and Membership Programs, who coordinates AirVenture features and attractions.This trend exemplifies the great spirit of the general aviation community to benefit those in need in whatever way possible.“. this Air Care Alliance Participating organizations in Oshkosh will again be coordinated. The organization represents more than 50 aviation-based nonprofit organizations focused on service and outreach through flight. Pilots participating in AirVenture will be able to explore volunteer opportunities across the country, while non-pilots are also encouraged to visit and learn how the aviation industry supports communities and uses local airports to provide public benefits.
