The southern part of France is a glittering summer hub around the world, and in this section of paradise, there is no bigger than the crown jewel of Cannes, France.
This French Riviera resort is home to the iconic Cannes Film Festival, but it is not the only legend. Carlton Cannes is a Regent Hotel, a beautiful architectural gem worn on the city's famous Croisette waterfront access. The hotel dates back to 1911 and undergoes different ownership groups and brand affiliations, but the current iteration is with IHG's Regent Brand, which reopened in 2023 after a massive renovation of the brand The property was held.
On my recent trip to the international luxury travel market, I was lucky to have the opportunity to stay in Carlton Cannes. This is what it feels like to stay in this wealthy property.

What is Carlton Cannes?
Carlton Cannes is a Regent hotel that had connections with IHG prior to its massive renovation. The hotel was previously associated with the Intercontinental brand and coincidentally transformed into a Regent brand, and Intercontinental Hong Kong is accepting its own face to return to the affiliation of the Regent's party – once or twice IHG enhancement in Ultraluxury playground.
Today’s Carlton Cannes features 332 rooms and suites (be sure to choose and/or beg for the Mediterranean Sea view) and 37 residences, one to 4 to four bedrooms are suitable for long-term accommodation. The Cannes Film Festival is already a small town to see, and Carlton Cannes is the most visible place in that scene.
I Visited the property in 2022 While it's still under construction and wondering how they come together – you'll see a pink glass flute here, there's inlayed tiles, golden wood in the corners, and gold leaves elsewhere. Ultimately, it works. Whether you're looking for a quiet secret cocktail or a dinner to celebrate the achievements of your life, Carlton Cannes has something for you.

Beautiful Cott Azur Airport (NCE) It is the nearest international airport, a 30-minute drive from the hotel. Be sure to check out the Carlton Beach Club, which first opened in 1928, walk through Croisette for a wonderful lunch and an uninterrupted seaside view.

examine
One might think that a global travel expert conference could be the hotel’s worst nightmare – no matter how luxurious the property is. But the Carlton Cannes team is as cool and clear as a fresh Sarad Nissois, just as they welcome me on arrival. The porter drove to your room with his luggage at the front door, and another team member was instructing you through the decorative historic check-in desk to the actual reception behind the lobby that emitted soaring.

Carlton Cannes has a completely different design experience from the Regents siblings, and I'm lucky Southern California,,,,, Hongkong and Vietnam. But the hotel is consistent with me and my friends outside the travel news track: these hotels are well-staffed and always want to step one or two before the bend, asking everything from late checkout to my night flight at my end Flying toward coffee preferences in one day (maybe my jet lag segment).
Although my room wasn't ready, it was hard to bother – now it's time to get great in the Riviera, so I took the opportunity to kill at the Carlton Beach Club across the street One or two hours.

Room
My Classic Sea View Room is a luxurious, cozy retreat with beautiful Mediterranean views. Don't take my words – just ask my friends and family that they have to endure unsolicited photos three times a day, and when my door cleverly left Ajar, the sun was pleasant.
While the room is the smallest room in any Regent shop I've ever experienced – not to cheer up the siblings' competition, but about 290 square feet of room in Carlton Cannes, while the new Regent Saint Regent Santa Monica Beach is 720 square feet – still decadent.

The high ceilings, bowed windows and a palette of white, cream and yellow make the space bigger than before. A curved recliner is the perfect place to relax before bed for email or drink quick espresso before a morning meeting. This minibar is in line with a free tea, Nespresso and a mix of non-alcoholic beverages and local beer, in line with the Regent's “exaggeration” spirit.

Other Riviera touches in the design include the wooden bed and the wooden closet area with the headboard and the entrance. In addition, consistent with the “Commendation”, guests can wash three pieces of clothing during their stay.
The comfortable bathroom is perfect for solo travelers and offers a single wash basin and a walk-in rain shower. Housekeeping comes twice a day, including a turning point at night, and I was surprised by the quick service during my stay, from luggage delivery and pick-up to room service – the best French hospitality.

Dining in Carlton Cannes
Given the intensity of the conferences I attended, I did not enjoy a full menu of options in Carlton’s restaurants, including Riviera Restaurant Mediterranean Dining, Ruya Restaurant, Anatolian Cuisine for Anatolian Cuisine, Bar 58, Camelia Tea Tea Restaurant Lounge and Carlton Beach Club.
I had lunch twice at Carlton Beach Club which was great for viewers and the atmosphere…but these atmospheres weren’t cheap. A club sandwich is filling, but there is also €33 ($34) while Salade Nicoise is €35 ($36). Fries are extra fueled for 11 euros ($11).

Breakfast was served at the Riviera Restaurant and I had the opportunity to have one morning during the meeting. The wide spread includes a buffet with deli, cheese, fresh fruit, a wide variety of French pastries and fresh juices. Guests can also order à la carte menu options such as omelettes. The Riviera restaurant is a fun and active place and I wish I had more time to enjoy my start here as it is the perfect place to be on the beach before a day or roam Croisette therapy.

However, I do always have time to enjoy a pajamas at the beautiful bar 58, a flooded puddle hidden behind the camellia tea room, providing a mix of comfortable seating areas and bar seating. When I'm a Martini lover, my tapes easily convert me into a cucumber gi feet (28 euros, or $29) lover.

It's easy to imagine the movie deal making and celebrating on a wonderful glass of Bar 58, and while I didn't have the chance to fully enjoy the menu in every Carlton Cannes restaurant, the space is a person who feels like a superstar.
But please do not sign.

Conveniences and Activities
Carlton Cannes offers LE Club Fitness & Spa, a very wide range of wellness, complete with a gym, sauna and treatment room in exchange for some pampering. While I didn't have time for a spa treatment, I tried to squeeze in some workouts and found that the gym here had as much equipment (if not more) as the ones that my local Equinox offers.

It was too cold outside to dive into the Carlton pool, but the hotel's back garden was always struggling for parties. The ice rink and winter market were the attraction during my stay.

Why Carlton Cannes might not be the right one for you
When I really like to stay in the Regent Hotel Carlton Cannes, no hotel is a one-piece hotel. This is why hotels may not be the best for the next holiday:
- Cannes can be expensive in summer. If you are looking for a bargain, plan ahead (not that this will always be helpful) or use points.
- The staff were welcoming and tempting (I arrived at the sweatpants and I still laughed!), but it was definitely a popular luxury hotel. If you are looking for some more low-key and favorable paths, you might want to see outside Cannes.

Accessibility

All public areas of the hotel have access to routes, and nine types of accommodation available for all accommodation types (residential, suite and room).
Checkout
Even if I might have signed up to the Carlton Cannes Film Festival in December, thanks to the buzz of the hall, cheerful and fresh decorations, friendly staff, and the fact that it is not so hard to convince a friend or two who live nearby Have a glass of champagne with me.

When I checked out, despite the December chill, I couldn't help feeling a little sad. Luxury properties have a history: Everyone from Barack Obama to Catherine Zeta-Jones passes the front door. With history, the Carlton Cannes Film Festival still offers a contemporary, super luxurious resort.
IHG can be proud of this restored gem in this Regent lineup.
