Intrepid offers tours in Egypt ranging from 8 to 22 days. To be able to see enough in just 8 days, you can take the overnight train between Cairo and the south, so a better deal is actually the 15-day train, which combines bus, boat and train travel and starts at around $1,500.

If you are traveling to Egypt for your second time or have some extra time, Jakada also offers a range of more unusual tours, such as spending time at the Cairo Camel Market!
