Cunard is delighted to announce that British astronaut Tim Peake will join Queen Elizabeth on an unforgettable voyage to Alaska in July 2026 as part of the luxury cruise line’s acclaimed InSight programme.

The famous astronaut, who spent more than six months on the International Space Station from December 2015 to June 2016, will be a special guest on board the Queen Elizabeth 10-Night Alaska Cruise Departs Seattle on July 20, 2026.

During the cruise, guests will be invited to the Royal Court Theater to hear Tim share fascinating stories from his career in space and the Army Air Forces. From the intricacies of orbital science to the emotional challenges of living aboard the International Space Station, Tim's exclusive insight talks and Q&A promise to inspire and inform in equal measure.

This rare opportunity to connect with one of Britain's most famous modern explorers will further enhance a journey that already promises stunning natural wonders. Queen Elizabeth's Alaska itinerary includes stops in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Wrangell and Victoria (Canada), giving guests the opportunity to experience majestic glaciers, stunning coastline and rich frontier heritage. Prices currently start from £1,459 per person, based on two people sharing a Britannia Balcony cabin.

Katie McAlister, President of Cunard Corporation, said: “Having Tim Peake join us aboard the Queen Elizabeth is a truly special event. He has experienced adventures that most of us can only imagine, and hearing his stories – from space missions to life on the International Space Station – in the wild beauty of Alaska will be unforgettable. We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer our guests such a rare and inspiring opportunity.”

Astronaut Tim Peake added: “Alaska and space may seem worlds apart, but both are places of astonishing natural beauty, perspective and discovery. I couldn't be more excited to share with Cunard guests what it's really like to live and work in space, and meet curious minds from around the world in one of the most amazing destinations on Earth.”

Cunard works with some of the world's most distinguished exploration figures, including past Insight speakers such as Bear Grylls and Sir Ranulph Fiennes.
