A new adults-only, all-inclusive resort has been added to Playa del Carmen's shoreline, debuting Devossion by Live Aqua, an oceanfront resort just steps from Fifth Avenue and fronting one of the area's quietest sandy beaches. The opening adds a design-driven, wellness-focused option to one of the busiest hotel corridors in the Riviera Maya.
Located in the Caribbean Sea, the resort combines a city center location with direct beach access. Its layout brings together a semi-Olympic swimming pool, a new spa concept called Cenote Spa, multiple dining options and a full range of daily activities. The adults-only model is aimed at travelers looking for high-end all-inclusive accommodation within walking distance of Playa del Carmen’s restaurants, shopping and nightlife.
The suites feature ocean views and contemporary design with a focus on privacy and personal style. Guests can also choose to upgrade to Devossion Club to enjoy lounge access and exclusive services.
Dining includes Japanese restaurant Nami, all-day open kitchen concept Liberi and a grill restaurant called Carnivore. The resort also offers a series of themed evening events, champagne-themed parties and spa-led wellness classes.
This is one of two major openings in Playa del Carmen so far this year, the other being the rebranding of the former Thompson New Hyatt Centric Hotel.

How to get there
Devossion by Live Aqua is located at 1a Avenida and Calle 26, in the center of Playa del Carmen. The resort is approximately 45 minutes from Cancun International Airport, with freeway access to town and a short local transfer to the beachfront. Playa del Carmen's main marine terminal is just minutes away, offering ferry services to Cozumel.
