It’s a busy weekend in Ecuador! Friday was spent in San Cuco, where the team enjoyed fine Ecuadorian cuisine and local fruits, before visiting the famous Ecuadorian explorer, mountaineer, photographer, journalist and pilot Jorge Anhalzer. Jorge, known for his contribution to photographing South American landscapes, autographed some of his books for the team!

The team meets Jorge Anhalzer (Romulo Cardenas)
On Saturday, the team hiked to the hut in Cotopaxi and prepared for the summit attempt after dinner and an early bedtime. After setting out early on Sunday, the team attempted Cotopaxi, but unfortunately poor weather conditions prevented the team from reaching the summit.
Today the group was back in sightseeing mode in St. Augustine, visiting historic Inca ruins and flower plantations.
