Josh Gad questions new Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro about the company's future
What happens when a Disney legend sits down to grill the company's big poop? You'll get a lot of laughs, a little fun mayhem, and some hilariously honest answers!
To celebrate the milestone of current CEO Josh D'Amaro, fan-favorite actor and beloved voice of Olaf, on his 100th day on the job, Josh Gadstopping at the historic Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. Gad shared the video on his official Instagram story, making it clear that he was here to ask the really “hard” questions that Disney fans have been demanding answers to.
D'Amaro, who officially became CEO on March 18, proved himself a true fan by completely resisting Gade's wit. Here are some of our favorite takeaways from their candid conversation:
Dream Park Transportation: When asked which Disney ride he'd like to turn off for an hour of solo riding, D'Amaro didn't hesitate: Pirates of the Caribbean. In fact, he casually admitted that he had done just that!
Secret Villain Allegiance: Which Disney villain does the CEO secretly support? Maleficent—because according to D'Amaro, “she's just misunderstood.”
Tearjerker: The Pixar movie that makes him cry every time is Up. He points out that this is a movie that he and his wife can turn on and make them cry.
Late night party: When the CEO isn't running the company, what is he looking at? He's currently binge-watching Bear and the Emmy-nominated Star Wars series Maul: Lord of Shadows.
Ways to survive: His favorite quote from Walt Disney himself? “It’s fun to do the impossible.”
The conversation maintained a fun, light-hearted tone, with Gad jokingly worrying about having his car towed by “Mickey Cops” in the parking lot. Of course, Gad also made sure to ask D’Amaro who his favorite Disney Legend Snowman was—even though we all know there’s only one right answer to that question!
At the end of the interview, Gard warmly congratulated D'Amaro on his first 100 days as CEO and wished his next 100 days to be equally magical. D23 is just around the corner, and we can't wait to see what else the executive has in store for the future of the park and the company.
