Recently renovated Two-Bedroom Cottage – available in single- and two-story configurations with approximately 1,100 square feet per floor – is at the heart of the family experience here. Each cabin is uniquely decorated, distinguishing New England tradition from something a design-forward friend might have in a weekend home. Full gourmet kitchens, wood-burning fireplaces, screened porches and outdoor rain showers are standard throughout the property.

Our family stayed at the Treetop Inn during our stay and to be honest, it felt dark inside. To me it felt more like a city hotel with a dark interior and it took away some of the magic of the holiday. Families looking for brighter, more self-contained space around the cabin and a proper yard-like feel should opt for a two-bedroom cabin.

Hidden Pond is a forest resort that happens to offer beach access at a sister hotel, rather than an oceanfront resort that happens to have trees.
Hidden Pond has two outdoor heated swimming pools. this cabana pool is a family-friendly swimming pool adjacent to the main lodge and two-bedroom cottage. this Serenity PoolLocated near Tree Spa and Earth Restaurant, adults only. Neither pool is large by resort standards, but they both provide a cool, well-maintained place to relax between beach days and other activities.
Goose Rocks Beach Goose Rocks Beach is just a 5-minute drive or a leisurely bike ride along Goose Rocks Road. The beach itself is a long, quiet stretch of white sand fronted by low-rise residential huts and a local grocery store that also serves as the social center of the community.
Hidden Pond offers a continuous, free shuttle to Tides Beach Club (sister hotel on the water), where guests can use beach chairs, lounge chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and beach towels. The shuttle makes logistics seamless, and Tides Beach Club has its own restaurant and happy hour (daily from 3 to 5 p.m., with live music on Sundays), so a complete beach day doesn't require any advance planning other than deciding to go.

Hidden Pond does not operate a formal children's club. On Saturdays in July and August, the resort hosts morning beach camps at Goose Rocks, which include three hours of marine education, supervised activities and coastal exploration. The resort can also arrange babysitting services with advance notice.
That said, without a formal timeline, there's still a lot to do. The hotel pool, shuttle to the beach, bikes, art shed, campfires, organic farm and Tuesday afternoon wildlife visits keep everyone busy. There are tons of games in the lobby, as well as a fully stocked art studio.

Tree Spa has three treatment rooms, all built 8 feet above the forest floor and connected by a walkway through the birch canopy. You enter from above, into a room enclosed by glass and wood, with trees at eye level, and spend the next hour listening to birdsong as your therapist works. In the most immediate sense, it was unlike any other spa experience I've ever had.
The spa only has three rooms, which means availability is limited during peak season. Book your treatments at the same time as your accommodation. The adults-only tranquil pool is just steps away from the spa entrance and is a natural companion to a day of treatments.

Earth in hidden pond is an award-winning farm-to-table restaurant located in the dining room beneath an extraordinary chandelier made from a preserved apple tree. Many people from the area also dine here, so book a table at Earth before checking in.
Ingredients for the kitchen are sourced from organic farms just steps away, from local fishermen and foragers and from the surrounding agricultural area. For a more intimate affair, Earth serves dinner in two garden sheds, which are outfitted with a candlelit table, storm lanterns and pitchfork decorations – a quirky and very romantic option that families sometimes reserve for the adults when the grandparents are traveling together.
