The man, who was traveling with his wife and two children, was brought to the stage during a special celebration held in the ship's atrium.

The cruise line shared their excitement in a Facebook video post, saying:

“One million guests. Countless memories. Today, we are honored to welcome our 1,000,000th guest aboard Margaritaville at Sea, the Fraser family! What began as a vacation turned into a milestone celebration that we will all remember.”

“To the Fraser family: Thank you for being a part of this historic moment. Thank you to every guest who sailed with us and thank you for helping us find a million reasons to celebrate.”

Big milestone surprise

To celebrate the millionth guest milestone, the cruise line went above and beyond for the Fraser family:

  • Free future cruises: The family was honored on stage and received a certificate for a completely free future cruise.
  • Cabin VIP gifts: The cruise line surprised them with special perks and “goodies” delivered directly to their cabins to celebrate their current voyage.
  • Welcome from the captain: Before the ship set sail, the family took a group photo with the captain.

The surprise is a nod to the brand’s core community. Margaritaville-on-Sea is popular with first responders, military and law enforcement personnel because of its sheer size. “Heroes Sail Free” program, offering free fares to proven heroes year-round.

The “Island State of Mind” series is growing rapidly

Reaching the one million passenger mark is a huge win for Margaritaville at Sea, which has a fleet of just two ships, with a third due to arrive in early 2027.

But shorter 3- and 4-night sailings have helped attract more passengers to the cruise line, and the cruise line has experienced rapid growth and success over the past few years.

The milestone coincides with the cruise line's second anniversary of operations in Tampa with islanders.

The cruise line currently operates two cruise ships: Ocean Paradise Margaritaville Departing from the Port of Palm Beach, and sea ​​islanders margaritaville Come out of Tampa.

The size of the fleet was further expanded, and the third ship—— Beachcomberscheduled to begin sailing from the Port of Miami in January 2027.
