On July 4, 2026, join the City of Oviedo at the Oviedo Mall for Independence Day celebrations that will go all out as the city commemorates the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America.
The City of Oviedo, in partnership with the Oviedo Mall, will host a family-friendly Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026, including indoor entertainment and an outdoor fireworks display.
The event will begin at 5pm inside the air-conditioned Oviedo Mall, where guests can enjoy a variety of vendors, activities and live entertainment. The festivities will culminate with an outdoor fireworks display near the Dillard's side of the mall at 9 p.m. (Subject to weather conditions.)
This year’s event will feature displays of our nation’s history throughout the mall. The stage is located in the food court where the Rock School of Oviedo and the University Center for the Performing Arts will present a Ziegfeld Cabaret!
Entertainment and presentations will include features and character actors such as:
Militiamen walk through crowds to take photos
Military Time Walk in the Community Center – from the U.S. Army
Space Force, in part courtesy of the American Legion and Oviedo Historical Museum
Betsy Ross holds the first American flag (and delivers the paper on the main stage)
Face painter, balloon artist, children's performer
Colonial mapping video depicting George Washington's crossing of the Delaware
At 7 p.m., a reenactment of the conversation that signed the agreement will take place on the food court stage.

Fireworks will begin at 9pm (subject to weather conditions) – be sure to arrive at your location before then to enjoy!
The food court will be open for business and you can grab a bite to eat there. it's free
