Verbolten: No Turn to open this month Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Virginia Theme Park has announced that the revamped Zierer roller coaster, which now offers new storylines and effects, will officially open on May 30.

The original Verbolten opened in 2012, replacing the original Big Bad Wolf in Over-the-Rhine. You can read Russell Meyer's Opening Day comments and watch video of his ride here: Verbolten debuts at Busch Gardens Williamsburg to wrap up Oktoberfest renovations.

In the new version, a subtitle has been attached, Black Forest Motor Tours is under new management.

“In creating this extraordinary experience, we invested in developing an all-new storyline for the attraction,” said Kevin Lembke, president of Busch Gardens Williamsburg. “Updates include new themed artwork and animatronics, including Black Forest Drive's charming host Frau Hexel.”

As the title suggests, your car is not supposed to turn during this tour of the German countryside. And, as any theme park fan can guess, your car will of course take a “no turn.”

Verbolten: Forbidden Turn retains the 48-inch height requirement and core figures, with a top speed of 53 mph. Busch Gardens members can experience the roller coaster for a one-day tour on May 29, with members-only preview available.
