Philadelphia, Pennsylvania— Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) announced the appointment of Rahul Patel as its 36th Chairman of the Board of Directors for the term 2026-2027. Patel officially assumes the role at the conclusion of AAHOACON26, the association's annual conference and trade show, held April 8-10 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Rahul’s theme was “Strong Foundations, Stronger AAHOA” which focused on strengthening the foundation of the association through deeper member engagement and shared experiences. He prioritizes protecting member profitability, advocating to address rising insurance costs, increasing AAHOA's educational offerings to support better financial and operational decisions, and ensuring fairness in franchise relationships by resisting burdensome regulations and mandates that impact owners' bottom lines.

“As chairman, my focus is simple: put down strong roots and build a stronger AAHOA,” said Patel. “This means deeper member engagement, greater accountability and ensuring every resource we build delivers real value to the people we serve.”

Patel began his leadership journey when he was elected as secretary in 2023, culminating in the role of chairman.

“On behalf of AAHOA, I would like to congratulate Rahul on his commencement as president,” said Laura Lee Blake, AAHOA president and CEO. “Rahul is a thoughtful, collaborative leader with a strong focus on member engagement and building meaningful connections across the association. I look forward to working closely with him to strengthen AAHOA's advocacy efforts, deepen member engagement, and continue to advance an organization that truly reflects the strength and diversity of America's hotel owners.”
