Due to high demand, the deadline for entries to the 2026 Australia-Pacific Hospitality Design Awards has been extended to 11:59pm on Tuesday 14 April 2026.
The Hospitality Design Awards focus on hospitality projects in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, and this year will be the largest awards event to date.
Awards announced on Design hotel seminar Taking place at Adelaide Oval on Tuesday 5 May, it will recognize outstanding hotel interior design projects completed and opening in 2025 that showcase creativity, design innovation, commitment to sustainable design practices, accessibility and outstanding guest experiences across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, including Hawaii.
Winners and HCs will cover four categories including new build, conversion, refurbishment and the overall winner – the Paul Davis Australian-Pacific Hotel of the Year Award.
Who can enter:

The award is open to all segments of the hospitality industry in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific (including Hawaii). Properties of all sizes can be entered anywhere in the area. New construction, remodeling and renovation properties are all eligible.
New hotels and renovation projects must open in 2025, and renovation projects must be completed by 2025 to be eligible.
Please note, however, that while designers, hotel representatives, and owners can participate in projects, the designer's involvement is required to ensure that the judges have all necessary information about the project.
How are awards assessed?
A judging panel comprised of top designers and HM editors will consider design concept, functionality, impact on guest experience, innovation, community collaboration/engagement, accessibility and sustainable outcomes.
2025 winners:
StandardX Melbourne, Hecker Guthrie & Woods Bagot won last year's Hotel of the Year (New Build) and Paul Davis Awards, while Drifter Christchurch, CTRL Space won the 2025 Best Renovation Award. Last year's Hotel of the Year winner was the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, built by FK Australia.
The awards are part of the Design Hospitality Symposium, where designers from around the world take to the stage to discuss key issues, trends and the future of hotel design.
