We're ignoring the college basketball coaching carousel and focusing on what some (at least one or two) are saying “The most important game in March.”
This year, we are reintroducing our annual bracket competition called “ Park Fever! (Cleverly named to avoid getting a cease and desist letter!) There are a few twists and turns.
Just like the “real” division, we created a 64-park division with a number of “play-in” games to make up the final field. While we added a few additional parks to the voting area (to include more parks), the process remains essentially the same. It should be noted that when creating brackets, there are No ranking and There are no geographical areas. With the exception of the “voting” round, the parks for the competition are randomly selected. This year, just in case a park decides to do a “run,” that's how we named the divisions this year.
We'll let you, the readers of Coaster101.com, decide your favorite park choice in North America, not one facing off against the other on the hardwood!
We have slightly updated our voting process and are closely monitoring the surge in voting. We will not be reporting exact results on social media during this year’s Park Fever, and this year’s voting percentages will be withheld. We reserve the right to remove any potentially fraudulent votes from the results, which defeats the purpose of fun. Bottom line: Don't cheat and undermine your favorite parks and others who legitimately voted for them!
Each round of voting will last several days and the schedule is as follows. We create a post every day with a new poll. All voting will take place on Coaster101.com and will close at approximately 8:00 PM Eastern Time on the designated date.
One round of voting: Monday, March 16 – Wednesday, March 18
First round of voting: Thursday 19 March to Sunday 22 March
Second round of voting: Monday 23 March to Wednesday 25 March
Regional Semifinal Voting: Thursday, March 26 to Sunday, March 29
Final regional vote: Monday, March 30 to Wednesday, April 1
National Semifinal Ballot: Thursday, April 2 – Saturday, April 4
Championship vote: Sunday, April 5 to Tuesday, April 7
Winners announced: Wednesday, April 8
