The Federal Aviation Administration said in a notice on Tuesday that it was grounding all JetBlue flights at the airline's request.

The FAA said the ground stops would affect flights to all destinations.

It's unclear why JetBlue requested the ground stop, and there's no indication how long this situation will last.

FBT and The Travelist have reached out to JetBlue and the FAA for more information. JetBlue Airways is headquartered in New York City and operates out of Terminal 5 of New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. In similar situations, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also issues ground stop orders due to reasons such as security threats or IT outages.
