American Airlines hopes to return to Venezuela: Travel Weekly

American Airlines plans to return to Venezuela, with daily flights to the South American country, pending regulatory approval.

American Airlines is working with the U.S. federal government to conduct a safety assessment and obtain necessary clearances.

The airline is the first to announce plans to resume U.S.-Venezuela flights since U.S. armed forces captured former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in a Jan. 3 raid.

American Finally flew to Venezuela At the beginning of 2019, it will operate routes from Miami to Caracas and Maracaibo. Venezuelan airlines Avior and Estelar also connected the two countries until May 2019, when the Ministry of Transport order to stop Direct flights to US-Venezuela.
