Is this the worst hike in the Catskills? Trick question! any The Bearpen & Vly hike is probably the worst hike in the Catskills.
This route is slightly not so bad Classic route to Vly and Bearpen It begins at the more popular trailhead on the south side of the col. Or maybe, that's what it seems to be like when you're in good company.
But this route is also longer and has a higher elevation, so it’s more suitable for exercise. One of the advantages of starting from the north side depressionPlatte Rock (NY’s Mount Rushmore, haha) is nearby, add it to your itinerary if you want to sleep on Belpon Peak 1000 years ago or later.
