When sailing on an Oceania cruise, we always look forward to the Rise and Shine fruit and vegetable juices from Aquamar Kitchen. Their delicious juice blends are the perfect way to start your day.

Our favorite juice
While Aquamar Kitchen does offer a variety of cold-pressed juices and smoothies, the Rise and Shine juice blends are our favorite. Each of these ingredients complements the others perfectly.
Carrots and beets have natural compounds that pair well with acidic flavors, which is why orange juice makes this mixture so perfect. Ginger and turmeric are both rhizomes, so they have similar warm flavors, but turmeric leans more toward an earthy flavor, while ginger maintains a spicy and peppery flavor. The chili ties them all together by adding mild heat, boosting the overall earthy flavor.
In addition to loving the flavor combination of this drink, enjoying a glass of Rise & Shine juice is an easy way to get the health benefits of whole fruits and vegetables. A glass of pure juice provides vitamin C and healthy fiber, which is much better for you than juice with added sugar.
This juice blend is perfect for drinking in the morning, but it also makes a great afternoon pick-me-up because the natural sugars in fruits and vegetables give you a quick energy boost without the crash that coffee can cause. Many people also enjoy it after a workout due to its hydrating matrix and natural electrolytes.
when you are with Oceania Cruisesyou can pair a glass of juice with one of Aquamar Kitchen's delicious avocado toasts or an omelet for the perfect breakfast. For lunch, you have to try one of their bowls, like the tuna poke (my favorite) or the buddha.
For another one of our favorite juices, try this Anti-Inflammatory Juice Recipe. Celery juice is very effective in relieving joint pain.
We have a long list smoothie recipesincluding our Delicious peach smoothie. Let us know your favorite.

You can buy these fresh fruits, vegetables, and spices to make juice at almost any grocery store.

- green apple
- orange
- carrot
- beet
- fresh ginger
- fresh turmeric
- paprika
How to Make Rise & Shine Juice
Wash all fruits and vegetables. You can peel the beets and carrots if you like. I just gave them a good scrubbing. Peel the orange.
Chop the vegetables small enough to fit in the juicer. You can juice in any order.
We started with beets, then apple slices.
Next, add the ginger and turmeric slices. You won't get much juice from them, but the flavor addition is great. Juice the oranges with your hands and set aside.
Mix all the juices and pour into a glass. Sprinkle with a little paprika and stir. This recipe makes 2 12 ounce servings of juice.

Tips and variations
- Feel free to use store-bought fresh orange juice or even a combination of fresh and frozen. Just make sure the juice has no added sugar.
- When adding cayenne pepper, add it sparingly first. You can always add more, but you can't take it away.
- Vary the flavors with different citrus fruits, such as orange or grapefruit juice.
- Try adding pomegranate juice.
- If you like a sweeter flavor, add pears or blueberries.
- Green leafy vegetables like spinach or kale are great additions to add even more nutrients.
Store fresh juice
Fresh juice has a different shelf life than canned or bottled juice. It really should be enjoyed on the same day for best quality.
