Boat Bike Tours calls Egypt itinerary first of its kind: Travel Weekly

Boat Bike Tours has received permission to explore the Nile via e-bikes and will be offering Nile itineraries next year.

The 13-day trip includes eight days of guided bicycle tours and a Nile cruise on Nebu, a luxury cruise ship owned by Central Holidays.

the company stated Egypt trip The first of its kind, it allows guests to “travel where few travelers have gone before,” including the Giza Plateau among the pyramids. In Luxor, guests will cycle through the West Bank to the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut.

CEO Laurens Winkel calls it “the most innovative itinerary we've ever offered.”

Egyptologists will meet guests throughout the tour. Riders can ride anywhere from 4 to 32 miles per day.

The trip begins in the Red Sea seaside town of Hurghada and ends in Cairo. Riders will “ride between temples, glide along quiet canal paths, and explore hidden corners rarely seen by tourists.”

Guests will explore the country's temples, tour Nubian villages and visit the Aswan Nature Reserve and the Monastery of Saint Baccamios.

Prices start from €4,240 per person.
