Extra-thick sleeping bags are provided for guests in Hotel de Glace's rooms. It is recommended to wear more clothes than your usual pajamas. A full set of winter gear/clothing must be included in the sleeping bag to ensure you have a warm and comfortable sleep in your snow hotel suite.

We're ready for Hotel de Glace:

  • thick wool socks
  • gloves or mittens
  • We have heating pads inside our socks and gloves
  • Leggings and long-sleeved tops
  • cardigan
  • snow pants
  • winter jacket
  • winter hat

These layers allowed for a comfortable night's sleep, keeping us warm and cozy with a slight chill on our noses in the morning. It's a small price to pay for such an epic experience.

Sitting area in the lobby of Hotel de Glace

Each suite has its own theme, and we stayed in a yoga-themed Superior Deluxe Suite. This suite (penthouse) features a fireplace, hot tub, and sauna! For those looking for a more affordable experience, there are cheaper rooms and fewer amenities available. Check-out time is 9 a.m., but guests can still enter the hotel lobby and rooms at the Valcatia Hotel until 11 a.m.

There is a bar on site with DJ performances every Saturday night. Our favorite thing about the Hotel de Glace in Canada was the giant ice slide! The drinks at the bar are also served in ice glasses!
