Coaster101 Photography Competition 2025: Enter your photos

Apart from those cameras – the 2025 Coaster101 Photography Contest is here! Our annual photography competition shows off the best choices for roller coasters and theme park photography, and we are excited to start another year of jaw-dropping photos in one of three categories: steel roller coasters, wooden roller coasters and “Rock Coasters” categories.

Coaster101 Photography Competition Entry Category

1. Roller Coaster Photos

Photos in this category should contain at least one steel roller coaster. They must not be changed significantly (via Photoshop or similar image editor). Secondary modifications are acceptable, and black and white photos are acceptable. If the photo contains steel and wooden roller coasters, the steel roller coaster must be the focus.

2. Wooden roller coaster photos

Photos should contain at least one wooden roller coaster. They must not change significantly. Secondary modifications are acceptable, and black and white photos are acceptable. If the photo contains steel and wooden roller coasters, the wooden roller coasters must be the focus.

3. Roller Coaster Photos

These “roller-free” photos must be taken in entertainment or theme parks, but the photos themselves cannot have roller coasters in the frame. The focus should be on other aspects: flat riding, food, performances, etc. – keep the creative you want.

Note: If we are not sure whether they are taken in the park, we reserve the right to omit photos in this category. Please include the park name in the description in your entry.

Coaster101 Photography Competition Rules and Information

The entry will be accepted By Monday, September 15, 2025, 11:59 pm CST.
You can enter Each category of photos.
The photo may not be larger than 2MB size.
The photo must at least be 1080 pixels wide x 1080 pixels high.
The photo must be in jpeg (or .jpg) format.
The submitted photos must be By the person entering.
Entries in the Steel and Wooden Coasters category should include At least one roller coaster in the photo.
If the photos entered in the Steel or Wooden Coaster category contain two or more coasters, the focus should be on the Steel or Wooden Coaster Coaster, depending on the category.
Of course, the photos entered in the “Rockless Coaster” category can certainly not include the roller cup holder (even in the background).
Do not add text or watermarks to any photos.
Software such as Photoshop may not significantly change photos.
No park rules may be violated When taking pictures. If photography is not allowed on the park, please do not take photos on the bus.
By entering photos, the photographer agrees to allow Coaster101 to (1) post photos on Coaster101.com, Coaster101’s social media pages (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), and (2) use photos for future photo contest promotions.
Note: Depending on the quantity and quality of the photos entered, the Coaster101 team reserves the right to omit any photos during the public voting phase without notice or explanation.

Two winners will be named after each of these three categories: one determined by the reader’s vote and the other selected by the Coaster101 team. Each category will also have two honorary mentions: one determined by the reader and the other determined by the Coaster101 team.

Winning photos will be exhibited on Coaster101.com and on our social media pages. The winner will win Coaster101 shirts in our online store and Print their photosWoolen cloth

The voting will begin shortly after the voting period ends and will last for a week. Readers’ Choice Winners will be determined by each category collected through Facebook’s image library. Every “like” received by the photo is counted as a vote.
