Cycling is a flying theater with riders – sitting on a gondola with legs hanging from a gondola – flying over some of the most famous attractions and landmarks from all over Europe.
It is set in the fictional world of European Adventure Club, with a group of explorers making their debut in several rides in Europa Park. The Queueline of Voletarium is woven through a grand building the club allegedly owned and shows a large number of exhibitions from previous expeditions.
Drivers were invited to join two inventors, members of the new aircraft adventure club, who flew over countries including Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany and Spain.

The film is projected on a huge dome-shaped screen with a flying theater gondola hanging in front, ensuring that the film is almost completely shrouded in the action rider. The cable car moves synchronously with the movie, and also has special sound and scent effects, which adds to realism.
Unfortunately, Voletarium inherits two common problems in the Flying Theater: First, the ceiling is visible at the top of the screen, and the top of the screen slightly destroys the hallucination when the rider looks at the sky, and second, the concave nature of the straight lines on the screen in the image is very obvious. This is especially noticeable when riders fly over monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, which looks particularly curved.
To minimize queue time, Voletarium actually features two separate back-to-back auditoriums that effectively increase capacity with the average flight theater. This helps keep Quettakin moving and prevents some of the frustrations of prolonged pauses found on “show” type attractions.
Voletarium is very impressive, starting with immersive Quetagin and continuing to the exquisite European landmark movies. Thanks to double the cycling hardware, it has a decent capacity, given its popularity and location that is very needed.
