H World Group has signed an agreement to open four new hotels in Laos, marking its entry into the Lao market, with plans to open between 2026 and 2027.
H World Group Limited has completed four hotel management agreements to establish its business in Laos. The hotel will open in Vientiane and Luang Prabang.
The agreement involves launching three H-World brands to the Lao market: Intercity Hotel, JI Hotel and Orange Hotel. The first attribute, Intercity Hotel VientianeIt is expected to open in the Wattay International Airport and the Sanjiang area in early 2026. this JI Hotel Vientiane Mekong Riverside This will be followed and plans are also planned to open in early 2026 on the Mekong River in the heart of Vientiane.
this Orange Hotel Vientiane The international airport is scheduled to begin operations in the third quarter of 2026. It will be located near the airport and the Sanji Ang area, the first international expansion of the Orange Hotel brand outside China.
The fourth attribute, City hotel luang Prabangwill be open in 2027. It will be located in the historic city center and blend local cultural elements with the brand’s signature design.
These projects are being developed in partnership with three investment partners: Laos Kunpeng Industrial Co., Ltd., Yuting Hotel Investment Management Co., Ltd. and KP Construction Sole Co.
The expansion to Laos is expected to cater to an increasing number of international tourists visiting the country, especially from China. According to data from the Laos National Tourism Administration, in 2024, more than 1.97 million international tourists entered Laos through the China Ras Railway, with Chinese tourists accounting for more than 60% of these tourists.
