To celebrate environmental advocacy and sea turtle conservation, the Royal Caribbean Group and the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) have collaborated to launch a new advocacy campaign.
Shell Week will be aiming to bring together ocean enthusiasts of all ages with interactive digital rewards in the Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises mobile app from June 8 to June 16.
One of the highlights of the event is the bracket-style turtle championship, where the turtles will face to face in the daily video. Participants can view the videos to learn new facts and vote for their favorites. The winning turtle will be crowned via social media on June 16 (World Turtle Day).
The Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise app also has the Ocean Explorer Club. Cruisers can find interactive educational content and conservation activities. Also, have a chance to win a special Ocean Explorers virtual badge.
The best part about this badge? You don't have to sail on a new cruise or visit other parts of the world!
ShellWeek.com will be available later this week.

One of the best parts of the new sport is the chance to win a trip to Florida
Shell Week also adopted a raffle, where one of the lucky winners will receive a 2-day trip to Florida, two times.
That's not all – at the heart of the experience is a special opportunity to study sea turtles in natural habitats with WWF scientists.
The campaign is centered on connecting cruisers to Royal Caribbean Group's Marine Future Initiative
The initiative was launched in 2023 with a focus on maintaining the planet, energizing communities and accelerating innovation.
Through the program, Royal Caribbean Group helps maintain the planet by increasing the company's energy efficiency, processing the water it uses and preventing waste from reaching landfills.
In addition, they hope to inspire future generations, connect with local culture and support economic vitality.
The last pillar – Accelerating Innovation – reflects the Royal Caribbean Group’s commitment to creating sustainable ship design and exploring cutting-edge technologies that create first-class experiences.
Everything from reducing food waste to saving water helps the company strive to achieve its goal of reaching zero emissions by 2050.
