Panache Hotel Group (PHG) has appointed Chris Waite, a respected communications expert, as the score head for his company affairs and communications.

The strategic appointment is as PHG accelerates its ambitious growth plan, including a goal of doubling its portfolio by the end of 2026 and plans to expand to the New Zealand market to consolidate its leading position in the Australian hospitality sector.

PHG becomes a dynamic disruptor in hotel management, focusing on building a strong external brand that reflects its scale, vision and motivation. Chris will work closely with the PHG executive team and embed it in the business to shape and enhance the group’s narrative, reputation and stakeholder engagement.

Chris brings over twenty years of global communications

Experience in this position, most recently as Head of Corporate Affairs at IHG Hotels & Resorts. His strategic consultant, stakeholder influence and the ability to provide integrated communication programs that promote impact and trust are highly valued.

At PHG, Chris will lead the group's communication capabilities covering media relations, content and thought leadership, internal communication, administrative visibility, colleague participation, public affairs, and problem and crisis management. He will also serve as a senior consultant to the leadership team to ensure consistent and consistent messaging across all channels.
