I always do 4 things on a buffet every time I cruise because I improve my meal every time

I always do 4 things on a buffet every time I cruise because I improve my meal every time

Of all the restaurants on the Royal Caribbean Cruise, the buffet is still one of my favorite places to eat.

I love the mix of food types, how easy it is to get in and out, and in fact, everyone has something. I like that I can enjoy Indian currycustom salad or burger overload, while my kids can get chicken fingers or pizza. This is a win-win situation for everyone.

While I will be dining mainly in major or professional restaurants, I like to go to Windjammer for lunch at Windjammer or lunch after a long day in the port.

When I chose Windjammer to eat, I always do four important things for each meal. I think these really make the meal more enjoyable from start to finish.

Wash your hands, even if I just do it

Talking about the importance of hand washing may sound cliché, but whenever I walk into a restaurant or go out, I do it.

Frankly, I'm surprised how many people don't. Stand near the Windjammer entrance for 30 seconds and you will see it with your own eyes.

Whether it’s a cruise or not, washing your hands before eating is a wise idea that can reduce the chance of getting sick while eating. It's not foolproof, but I'll do my best Stay healthy during the cruise.

Now most ships have a sink at the entrance, but on older ships there is a crew member providing hand sanitizer.

Whenever I walk in, I take the time to wash my hands because it’s too easy to be complacent.

Sit down first, then go to the buffet

It's tempting to grab the plate and hit the first buffet station you see, but it's a mistake.

Usually it's very busy on Windjammer, especially breakfast. You really should find a seat and buy food.

Early on my voyage, I would get my food and then do awkward walks trying to find a table full of food. Not only is it a hassle, but the chance of accidentally spilling food while looking for a table is high.

This strategy is not only to make sure you have a good idea to sit somewhere, but to work with your family. Kids need to know where you are going, and if they are younger, you may need to change shifts with the kids and go back on their own.

Usually, the more you are willing to sit from an actual buffet stand, the higher the chances of finding an open table.

If your boat is in the outdoor area of Windjammer, make sure to prioritize outdoor seating. It's great to have a meal when it's possible on a cruise!

Please check all sites before taking any food

The next thing I'm going to do is to investigate food choices because this is a lesson I've learned.

It's so tempting to grab the plate and fill it with the first option you see, but I've seen there are other things I'd rather get.

Of course, I could not like the food and get a new plate with what I wanted, but it was hard for me to waste. No fines or anything like that, but I try not to waste As much as possible.

Instead, I will take a quick walk at the buffet station to quickly see what’s around me.

Remember that in most wind energy, one side is usually a mirror on the other side, so you don't have to check both sides of the buffet.

This strategy is especially useful for the next thing I always do in Windjammer.

Priority to cooking stations

My favorite thing about Windjammer is Cooking stationI'll look at these first.

These cooking stations customize a specific type of cuisine and it really takes my place every time, just the way you want it.

Asian cooking is my absolute favorite, followed by the pasta station. I think we all like foods prepared with one ingredient rather than the other, and there may be some foods we would rather exclude from.

Plus, it tastes much better because it is cooked on the spot.

Cooking stations have no cost, so make use of them whenever possible.
