The opinions expressed by entrepreneurs and contributors are their own.
We live in the answer period. Enter the question into a search engine or an AI chatbot and you will get instant, logical, high-quality answers. But there is no technology to answer for you in one question: What is the meaning of life? Strangely, the answer is simple. I once saw it on a postcard from a cafe in Kathmandu: The meaning of life is what you want.
Since then, I have been working on unraveling the science of meaning – trying to understand where it really comes from. yes Stream status? Welfare? Habit? Target? fail? Elasticity? pleasure?
What do we regret the most?
Perhaps a better starting point is to ask: What damages the meaning?
In the book The top 5 dying regretsPalliative Nurse Bronnie Ware captured reflections on the last days-when the truth is no longer hidden. The most regrettable thing is:
- I wish I had the courage to live my own life, not what others expected of me.
- I wish I didn't work that hard.
- I wish I had the courage to express my feelings.
- I wish I stay in touch with my friends.
- I wish I made myself happier.
Unfortunately, I believe that living is at one end of the emotional sphere. The other end is fulfill – Life is a sense of meaning, resonance and coherence. Regrets are the pain of the past, and are now reheated. To reduce it, can we outsource work, courage and happiness to AI?

Will enrichment lead to emptiness?
Can AI and robots automate mundane automation to make hard work optional? Elon Musk thinks so. He predicts that our future challenges will not productivitybut human achievements. Without adversity and desire, a lot of everything can get us into emotional collapse-or worse, we trap us in the echo chamber of narcissistic pleasure, the star of our own digital reality?
Or do we do what humans have been doing – creating challenges, hard work, competition and dreams? Even if we are monkeys in glass cages, under the attention of the super intelligent “God”, punish misbehaviors, reward efforts and give us medications accurately with algorithms? Well, many of us love rules and boundaries. Do I prefer AI overlords to flawed human governance? perhaps. Can AI be more efficient in resettlement, reallocate wealth and allocate resources? Very likely. Will it respect the merits? Or invite, or even force everyone to make meaningful contributions? (I asked chatgptThis answers this kind of coercion only when we are facing an existential threat. )

In many histories, religion, king, country, community and family have prescribed our values. There is no need to ask in-depth questions, especially when the main value is survival. But now we have to ask the question: What is important to me? What satisfy me? What legacy do I want to leave?
Purposes can feel grand, but value is deeply rooted – often revealing under the surface of our consciousness in moments of stress or joy. When you Clarify your valuesyou can start creating your own spiritual practice.
How do you practice your values?
Love fitness? Stretch at dawn, run at sunset, and build life around. Valued kindness? Serving others, compassion and volunteering weekly. Pay attention to peace? Meditation, teach yoga and exercise to end the war.
Being aligned with your values makes sense, especially when it’s difficult. We need to resist. We need positive pressure. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing how far we have gone: how we can handle stress better now than the younger version, or how we can restore balance after chaos and destruction.
In mine WorkshopI asked what people are most proud of in the past year. The answer will never relax. They are about resilience – overcoming disease, supporting loved ones, pushing for stretching goals or just refusing to give up.
What is the hero’s journey today?
We don't have to be perfect. But we do need to try, fail and try again. That's it The journey of the hero: Leave the comfort zone, gather allies, acquire skills, be knocked down and rise again. We conquered the dragon and went home and changed. This journey is what creates meaning.
AI can't give us That. It can be a tool, but we still need to master, grow, community and courage.
Yes, some may be left behind – immersed in Virtual realityfed by robots, exists in gamified plasma dreams. Real life matrix.
