Host organization in Fort Lauderdale Tourist Information Launched a destination wedding certification program for its travel advisors.
Katie Lynn Reynolds, the program's creator, has been named destination wedding coordinator. Reynolds graduated from Destination Wedding Universityhas coordinated over 30 weddings. In her three years at Travelmation, she has grossed over $7 million in travel sales.
“Destination weddings changed the trajectory of my life and my travel business,” she said in a press release. “Not only did it grow my business, it also helped the entire industry thrive.”
Reynolds added that as the tourism industry booms, so too does the demand for tourism professionals.
The course covers finding the right location, venue and facilities for clients and wedding guests.
Consultants who complete the course will be designated as certified consultants and have the opportunity to join the wedding family of Sandals, AIC Hotel Group, Grand Velas and Marival Resorts.
Travelmation currently has 2,100 consultants.
